Layout of Maps

Each resource has a dedicated Atlas webGIS map selectable from the main menu under ‘Maps’, which allows the user to view the key resource data layers with supporting baseline reference layers.  Please note the tide resource map loads slower than wind and wave, because of the larger density of grid cells (nearly 200,000 cells compared to less than 6000 cells for wind and wave). Each layer’s symbology has been constructed to maintain consistency with the pre-prepared pdf Atlas maps.  Several layers are available to view on the different map pages as summarised in the following table.
